On December 17, 2025, the FreeKenya Movement officially turned the streets of Nairobi into a center for democratic renewal. With the launch of our signature collection drive, we are inviting every Kenyan to join a popular initiative that moves beyond mere protest toward systemic, constitutional reform.

Our drive is built on three unwavering parameters designed to restore the dignity of the Kenyan citizen:

1. Article 43 & Taxation: Ensuring economic and social rights are not just words, but a lived reality through fair tax laws.
2. Resource Efficiency: Demanding the effective and transparent use of our national wealth.
3. The People’s Voice: Forcing the state to respect the collective will of its citizens.

The 7-Point FreeKenya Agenda

At the heart of our petition are seven pillars of reform that will form the backbone of the proposed referendum:

1. Taxation Reform: We demand the immediate abolition of taxes on 15 essential commodities. From fuel to flour, the cost of survival must be lowered by law.
2. People’s Government: Transitioning toward a governance structure that is truly inclusive and answerable to the common man, not just the political elite.
3. Representation Reform: Ensuring that every vote carries equal weight and that leadership at all levels reflects the true face of Kenya.
4. Electoral Reforms: Fixing the broken systems of the IEBC to guarantee that every election is free, fair, and verifiable.
5. Restructuring Commissions: Reforming independent commissions to ensure they serve the public interest rather than acting as tools for state control.
6. Strengthening Devolution: Moving more resources—and more power—directly to the grassroots where they can impact lives in the villages and wards.
7. Fiscal Clarity: Demand for total transparency in how our national debt is managed and how our taxes are spent.
